As steady a semi final win as you're likely to see - Jammer, Woody, Luke, Haze (20th of the season) & Tyler. A young lad called Karl Rose came on for the last 10, I think he's got a great future ahead of him - pacey, ball winner, he can pick a pass, the lads got everything.

Rested Davie, JC & Armstrong. Jeffsy back with his head taped up like Mr Bump. Men against boys mainly, & so it should be given the differential between where we are & where they are.

The slope on their pitch makes Yeovil look flat! & it's nearly as cold as Emley.

Get your tickets booked for Bramall Lane boys & girls

Hope Mr Rose got a close up view of Max Pemberton, he placed some great passes in that game. Too good for Hallam.

Whereabouts on the pitch did he play Blade? The majority of their players were physically spent after 25 minutes. The keeper & number 4 were a weight watchers meeting on their own & the right winger made me look like a child - which is no disrespect to them or Hallam, but an indication of the 'pond' they fish in & what is required to play at our level

i expected a bit more from hallam given their league position, didnt look as good as emley, and certainly didnt give us a tougher game than what millmoor juniors of the county senior league gave us, but job done and onto bramall lane we go for a tough game whoever we meet in the final.

Only played as well as Frickley let them. Max Pemberton in midfield, son of ex Leeds Utd/Blades fullback John, if he is the
same player who played for Sheff Utd Reserves. Tall, well built, good passer and not afraid to tackle. Think he went to a higher
level non-league club. Looked short of fitness but still able to pass the ball well. Could have been number four, not certain, never
looked at their numbers.
Sad to see The Plough outside the ground is to close for good on Tuesday, according to the depressed looking woman behind
the bar. Hope she is wrong but it must be hard to make a profit situated there.

That would be a shame given its history + have always enjoyed pre and post match drinks there when going to Hallam... though its opening hours seemed a bit strange - ie not open till tea time on Saturdays. Was there for non-league day earlier this season, massive crowd for the match and the pub was shut beforehand. :(
(Pemberton was no.3 for Hallam BTW)

the number 4 was the tall guy that got booked and then subbed at half time,(for the evergreen, ageing, robust, rob ward, who tried to rough bailey up a few times) so rosey would not have seen him close up, but the guy pemberton was at number 3. cannot see them going up through the play offs if they make them.
