A bit disappointed the Athersley game was called off, but it looked like the fog might
get worse, it was on the roads above South Elmsall. A bit late to call it off really, but
that is what can happen with fog, I suppose.
Hope the weather is better next Tuesday anyhow.
Least I got to watch the Man U v Real Madrid game on tv.

Hope there was no horse in the burger, must admit that I prefer veggie burgers anyhow.
Yeah, Nanni probably deserved a yellow and a talking to, as there was intent to injure.

it would have been nice to get the game played if only to free up matt bloor and terry barwick from suspension, and give us more bodies for saturday.

Would have been good to have played it, but probably better not to start and have to
call it off before the end.
Matty Bloor and Terry Barwick can ease themselves back next Saturday and big Gavin
might get a run out to increase his fitness.

A good result. Rec not the worst team to come up the lane this year. Well organised and gave some anxious moments. But all in all, a good work out and the right result. A good gate for Senior Cup as they brought a number of supporters who made themselves heard.

Nice to see Matty get off the mark.A good professional performance (they did what they had to do).Definately a good work out, they would make a good pre-season match.I was quite impressed with them, especially their fitness.Forward looks useful, could be worth a visit.Well done lads, final 1 step away. Now lets put Marine to the sword on saturday.

A solid, professional performance from The Blues, just had a little too much class for a well organised Athersley
side. Bentley worth keeping an eye on, looks like a natural goalscorer to me.
Matty Bloor the outstanding player for me with Callum Howe and Chris Wood not far behind him. Another brace
for the big man, hope he can keep his recent scoring record up on Saturday.
I wish Athersley well for the remainder of the season, they look more than capable of winning their league based
on what I saw from them last night.
