You might be right there mate. Some serious snow forecast today. Mind you the 3G pitches at Gateshead stadium are worst in the north east, Well past the sell by date yet still charging top dollar.

Not the first person to say that Colin. Few commented already about the 3G so waiting to hear about what they are like with snow etc.

The Bobby Robson Centre pitch at Ushaw Moor will give them a run for their money!

Bobby Robson centre is a joke, far far worse than Gateshead 3G. Needs ripped up

Yeah johnna the Bobby Robson is bad aswel but gateshead man, they charge fortunes and it is absolutely rank. We have booked a 4g saturday which is half the price gateshead charge.

There are quite a few Northern league games off already as well....

Can't see there be any on of those scheduled on grass to be honest. More bad weather forecast apparently.

2-1 to Gateshead. How we weren't 3 or 4-0 up by HT I will never know but switched off second half. Fair play to them as they hit us on break.

Not being bitter at all as fair play to them on the result, but the set up there is a shambles.

The walk to the 'pitch' is ridiculous
the surface of the 3G is the worst I have ever seen.
No dugouts

and I am struggling for the words for the 'refreshments' after the match. approx. 15-20 small triangle sandwiches were left in our changing room for after the game.

Makes a mockery of the fines I have seen from the league after what I seen on Saturday!

Again, no reflection on the game as was a fair result by the end of the game.

It sure is mate. Horrendous surface. As far as hospitality goes they don,t know the meaning of the word, i know when we played them at home they didn't come into our clubhouse before during or after the game and its 3m away from the pitch They did tell me they wouldn't be coming back which IMO is an insult , but they are getting away with it every week as i don't think they go back to anyone's hospitality. Those pitches are unreal for what they are charging clubs to hire for winter training . I don' know how old the surfaces are but would guess over 15 years. Need replacing.

We had the same issue with them at home telling us they wouldn't be coming back.

I was hugely disappointed in the game and the surface, and the 'refreshments' just pushed everyone over the line. It is certainly something that could be doing with being addressed, instead of fining people £20.00 or £30.00 for not wearing a bib or holding up a number on a board!!!!
