Normal game, 7 goals, plenty of swearing, people sent off etc....
We're hoping for 8 or 9 next week.

Cullercoats 0-5 Killingworth Town

Very straight forward win for us with 13 unavailable. Good squad of 14 there to comfortable put us into next round.

All the best to Cullercoats for the rest of the season.

Some decent players at Gateshead. Steep learning curve for them this season but I think they'll be just fine.

Blyth Spartans Res 6 Willington Quay Saints 2

Harsh scoreline for the saints with 3 goals in last 10 minutes making it look like a hammering. Joe Connor scored in his 8th consecutive league game (club record) putting us ahead from the spot early on. We then gifted blyth two goals in two minutes with awful last man passes straight to them before they scored a good goal to make it 3, we weathered a storm to keep it at 3 before we nicked one back just before the break connor again with a great curling effort.

The second half we defended much better to keep it 3-2 until the 80th minute missing a great chance to make it 3-3 just before the Spartans sealed the game with their 4th goal after a quality run and finish. Our heads dropped after our efforts to equalize were thwarted and Blyth punished us with two more goals in the dying minutes.

Good performance from us against a quality Blyth side who's passing at times was a joy to watch.
