Carlisle have today tweeted their resignation from the Prem. Assuming Newcastle Uni or Birtley are promoted, Alnwick will drop in to the Prem. Along the Killingworth merger there will be an extra space available in the Prem & Div 1, will there be additional promotion places available in Div 1 & 2?

The resignation of Jarrow Roofing from the ENL, may also have some bearing......

Northbank FC have left the Northern Alliance

From Twitter (@northbank_fc) -

CLUB STATEMENT
It is with a heavy heart we announce that this past season will be the last one for our senior team. With immediate effect we are resigning from Northern Football Alliance.
After 48 years such a decision has not been made without much soul searching with every possible avenue explored to try & continue.
The club would like to place on record our thanks to all players, managers, sponsors, volunteers past & present for their involvement with the team.
This decision in no way affects our thriving and successful junior teams.

Truly gutted to hear about Northbank Carlisle. A great club ran by great people and I've enjoyed every trip since my first one in 1994.

Really hope they take this as a break and come back stronger one day.

Heard of another club that won't be returning. Massive shame as proud clubs with huge histories and great volunteers are resigning.

I'm certain help must be out there....but where is it when people need it?

I hope it isn't true but it looks like Ashington Colliers.

We were there Saturday and talk was that it was their last ever game. But then Twitter suggests the management have left so I hope that the club continues.
