Gateshead Rutherford 1 Seaton Delaval 2

I guess if Rutherford didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all! They hit the bar twice and deservedly went 1-0 up at half time. The second half saw us huff and puff and a Nipper brace saw us take the points. Rutherford definitely deserved something from the game and would like to say good luck to Chris the new manager.

Percy Main 1 - 1 Reyrolle

Well done to reyrolle, deserved point in my opinion. 0-0 half time, we didnt play well but perhaps credit to Reyrolle for stopping us do so. Thought the hebburn lads grafted all game for each other. We went 1-0 up with deflected shot, then had one over/not over the line (very hard to tell if it did) and then reyrolle caught our offside "trap" (or lack of one) and went through and got a pen (our GK sent off despite covering player on line) and they equalised. Strangley I thought we done better with ten men. Well done to Reyrolle, I think the corner is turned for them and the young lad up top for them will cause teams problems. deserved point for certain.

Wallington 4 Red House Farm Mafia 3

Phew, where to start.

Great response from us after a dismal showing at Ponteland last week. Everyone put the effort in today and we scored four great goals, albeit one was a sloppy back pass but Nellis still had to finish it well into the bottom corner.

RHF started the better without doubt and we were indebted to stand in goalkeeper Slack for one terrific save in the first period. We weathered the storm though and took the lead through Nellis' first of the afternoon, tucking home after a terrific pull back from Gilmartin. Going a goal behind is never the most joyous of events but there are ways to go about it and RHF's strikers reaction of hooking our defender in the face while the ref wasn't looking is certainly not it. Of course he frivolously denied any wrong doing on the pitch but once back in the pub afterwards and seeing our defenders blackened eye he was happy to boast 'ha I did that.'

We scored two quick goals at the start of the second half and were cruising but in fairness RHF came back strong and it's clear to see why they've been doing so well this season with two well taken goals.

The game then got a bit feisty with a few tackles going in here and there, nothing awful it must be said, but the reaction and constant berating of the referee and his two young officials from the RHF contingent on the side was nothing short of disgraceful and embarrassing. (even resulting in one instance where a RHF player told the sideline to 'shut up and let them play football')

Our fourth goal was greeted by another kick out off the ball from a frustrated player only this time the referee was standing on top of the incident and duly sent the player off.

Still, it was a great win against a team that will definitely be up there and with others dropping points around us it made it even better.

Interested to hear if RHF have been like that against other teams or did we just catch them after a bad week at work?

Amble United 1-0 Stocksfield

Game kicked off with stocksfield playing the better football for the first twenty or so then Amble started to get the ball down and play creating a couple of half chances. Had a goal disallowed for no particular reason then scored a few minutes later. Stocksfield keeped trying to play football without any real threat to the amble defence.
Second half Amble played better and created some really good chances but could not convert. Hit the bar with two headers then missed a one on one with other half chances that were created. A stone wall penalty not giving aswell but think Amble just edged it overall. Impressed with Stocksfield a tidy outfit.

Walker Central 0 v 2 Harraby Utd

Conditions today were very good, pitch was in perfect condition for the team that got the ball down and played a quick passing game and unfortunately for us it was Harraby that done that. For long periods of the first half we were pegged back finding ourselves defending and at times riding our luck.We go down to a goal that i can only describe as the sweetest strike of a football that i have seen in a long while(30 yds out left of centre straight down the keepers throat, but not a great deal he could do with it). Half time 0-1,second half we get closer and press the midfield and start to get back into the game and look like we could get an equaliser with match day signing Jonny Mann looking a handfull. With 5 min to go we have a corner commit players and just give the ball away which allows Harraby to kill the game off.Best team on the day won,but at least we made it uncomfortable in the second half.

I think you may have had your blinkers on yesterday!! To say that there was nothing nasty in the game is way off the mark, just ask the lad (who was rightfully sent off) how he's doing this morning after the over the top 2 footed challenge from your sub. If you'd like to ask him you'll probably catch him in the A&E department at the RVI awaiting his x-ray results on a probable broken bone in his ankle. Oh yes and he's due to start a new job tomorrow.
You say we berrated the officials all day which is wrong again as we all thought the 2 linesmen had very good games, we were just disappointed with the ref at times which after a lad ending up in hospital from a challenge like that is probably justified. The same kid then tried to 'do' another of our players with another over the top cowards challenge but maybe you missed that 1 also?
Anyway I thought Wallington were probably the best team we've played this season and in their centre forward who scored 2 yesterday have someone who'll cause every team problems. They're very well organised and try to play the right way on a very nice pitch.
We'd have taken 1 loss in the first 10 games at the start of the season so we'll just dust ourselves down and try to get back on track next week.

The Coward that u refer to will be me. So thanks for that. I've played in the Alliance for over 10years now and have never went into a tackle with the intent to hurt anyone, it was a 50 50, I won the ball, and the referee was right on top and judged it as a fair challenge, as did I. Hope the lad is ok, as like I said have never gone in to intentially hurt anyone. He seemed ok a the time as he jumped straight to his feet. As for the second incident, I don't seem to recall that, must have had me blinkers on.

I don't need to come on here to justify myself but thought I would give my opinion. Our lad may be in the same ward getting stiches in his eye.

All the best for the rest of the season. Decent side.

Walker 0 Harraby 2

Can't add a lot to 'Hurdy's' report , but I will say we should have got a second much earlier, the lack of a 'Goal Poacher' on Saturday really showed in the 1st half as we could have been out of sight if our leading scorer hadn't decided to go on the drink with his mates  . Still it took two 'Worldies' to win the game and Walker shouldn't be too disheartened as they defended well for the 1st hour ,then really came back at us ,missing 2 very good chances.
As always ,good 'Craic' in the bar afterwards :D .
