Seaton Delaval 10 New Fordley 1

To be fair New Fordley gave it a real go, never stopped for the 90 minutes and I hope they get promoted this season.

Newcastle Benfield Saints Res 0 v Ashington Colliers 2. Two first half goals from Ian Nickalls and David Brown got the result and job done, NBS res gave a very good account of themselves and had a few chances to get back in the game.

Percy Main 3 - 1 Morpeth A

Total one sided affair for first 35 minutes and then Morpeth picnhed a goal. We equialised before half time from new signing Graeme Troughton. Second half Dean Morgan poked us ahead and then Chris Bell scored late on to seal win.

Red House Farm 2 Harraby Utd. 1

Thought this might be a possible 'Banana Skin' & was proved right :( . Although we started well .a deep corner on 6mins was 'bundled' home at the far post by their new signing ,Clark . We went back at them , 'Chucky' hit the bar , then he finally levelled on 25 ,we hit bar again through a 'Fez' corner , but Farm could have had a penalty , Ref said no ,who are we to argue  .
2cnd half we started well , but on the hour , another corner found 7Ft [ ] tall Clark who saw his header hit the post & 'Swifty' opened his account for the season [ It was the wrong end though ,'Swifty'] when the rebound hit him as he turned round. Try as we did , we couldn't beat the home keeper ,Ticknell ,who made some good saves & Farm could have had more as they broke quickly ,twice hitting the 'woodwork' , so that's us consigned to the 'Charity Cup' . Still , at least they had 'Smiths' in the 'Jubilee'[ Take note ,Sandra  ] & the banter was good with the Red House Lads, they looked a very good team & could do well in this . Good luck lads .

Division 1
Wallington 7 - 1 Chemfica
Nellis 3
Gilmartin 2
Paxton
J.Walton

A comfortable win for us in the end. We went 1nil up early on with a good finish by Nellis but quickly got pegged back when Chemfica scored from a corner. At this point it looked like we may be in for a tricky afternoon but, despite never really getting going in the first 45mins, found ourselves 3-1 up at half-time.

Fair play to Chemfica, they tried to play football and the two lads up front were a handful, but they just fell apart in the second half and in all honesty it could have been double-figures by the end. I believe they had a few players missing, if they can tighten up defensively they'll cause problems as they look capable of scoring goals. We didnt really play that well yesterday but on the positive side we're banging in the goals and picking up points.

Shankhouse 3-1 Rutherford.

When the half-time score was 2-1, all 3 goals had been scored by us! We also missed a penalty. One of them days, I suppose!

Game played in great spirit throughout. Bookings count: Shankhouse - none. Rutherford - 5 yellows, 1 red. Not a bad tackle in the entire game.

Shankhouse 3 Rutherford 1

Just to clear up a few points

Could have been 5 or 6 -- we missed 4 one on ones

Not sure how first three were scored by Rutherford

Our first was scored by Rees Farndell

You could say the penalty was saved by our keeper as was the rebound

I agree --- not a bad tackle in whole game --- but you have to learn to keep you mouth shut

The food in club was good --- shame Rutherford didnt come back

Never saw it but the Rutherford Captain openly admitted afterwards, the ball hit him in the face, but I'm sure he'd be happy to pass it to Mr Farndell

He was pretty devastated as he also had a penalty saved. What a game for him.... :(

I've spoken to the lads about going to the bar, and they said they waited in the car park for someone from the home club to either tell them where to go or even better, show them the way. I had to go as was taking a lad to work, but the others said they waited & waited but it seemed clear everyone had left without them. Please note - from the lads in Saturday's squad, only 2 played in this fixture last year, and both were in my car. All other lads have never been before.

Not exactly correct

I was the last to leave with my committee after we had cleared up

there was one red car left in the car park --- he left at the same time as me ---
but turned off right at first roundabout --- we turned left

no one suggested they didnt know the way --- they could have followed us

Last week Stocksfield asked the way and we sent someone with them in the first car
we had approx 20 of their lads in the club

Walker Central 1 v 3 Blyth Town

Second time in the last 2 weeks that we have met and the game was pretty much a mirror image of the last. Walker had the slightly better possession first half good goal from Bully to put us ahead 1-0 half time.Second half Blyth got closer pressed the ball higher up the pitch, some of our players started to flag and Blyth got stronger.Good luck to Blyth who deserved the result in the end

I'll quite happily ask again but that's the thing, from the original conversation I had with our lads itappears there were no cars left to follow. I know for certain when I got in my car the carpark wasn't anywhere near as full as it was before the game. I'm sure you'll correct me on that as well though. For future it may be worth confirming details of the pub when the details of the game are confirmed. I'm not suggesting this didn't happen of course  , but a bit of courtesy to do that would be great for us  .

Either way, a very decent game between two sets of decent players

I'll edit this post out of respect for the people who run Rutherford. The posts made by shankhouse aren't exactly the truth at least I was telling the truth and I expressed my opinion on the matter.

Personally im glad I didn't go back as the food was horrible last year and 4 of the lads felt sick after they'd eaten there. Didn't want to take our chances with food poisoning like.....

No real need for that comment but how I read it was in one breath didn't know where it was but in the next you were there last season. The norm for Shankhouse is to be the last out of the ground to ensure the opposition know where the club is. It costs money to put food on and all clubs have to go back. However if your unsure you simply ask, you can of course use intitiative and if you feel you cannot go back inform them prior to the game. My guess is on here you wont find anyone complaining about the food at Shankhouse. As I said no need for the disrespect in the comment made.
