Heaton Stannington 2 Seaton Delaval 0

Heaton Stan scored in the first half and with 5 mins to go we push on or an equaliser pushing players up front and ran a risk of conceding which we duly did. A horrible scrappy game that we really got what we deserved which was nothing carried too many players.

We had two players in A and E after the game our keeper fell badly after a save erly second half and damaged his rotator cuff and had to be subbed young Sean page went on and did well then after the game Fen could barely walk, looks like an ankle injury.

Once again bookings that has everyone scratching their heads and that word consistency comes in. We had a booking for a lad that's jumped for the ball to head its scraped the side of his head the ref could not see the ball as it was shadowed by Fen as he jumped, the Lino saw it front on gave nothing and bizarrely the ref not only gives a free kick for a hand ball but booked him for a deliberate hand ball. An opposition player gets frustrated and simply launches the ball into orbit and some distance away....nothing. A ball goes 3 yards out of play with the wind and curves back in the Lino is running with his back to the ball doesn't see it, we actually tell the officials it's out and a Heaton Stan throw in.

As we've all been asked to try to control the number of bookings is season I'm keeping a record of all bookings and trying to give a genuine assessment so far we've had 5 in two games one was probably and I mean possibly a booking the other four should never have been shown. Felt sorry for Ashington when they played us they had bookings that had us all laughing.

North Shields Athletic 0 Birtley St Jo's 2.

Good shift by the lads yesterday, Birtley went ahead in the first 5 mins, with a good header at the near post from a corner. 1-0 at half time. In the second half, NSA came at us but everything that was put in the box was dealt with. NSA then were awarded a pen, which was saved. Birtley then went 2-0 up through a Pen of their own. James Bowman scored both of Birtleys goals making up for last weekends horrific pen.

NSA continued to try and break us down, but as a team we defended well for the last 15 mins.

On to wednesday game at New Fordley now.

Walker Central 3 v 1 Percy Main

We start slow and Main start well opening us up with ease. Fortunately they are unable to finish some of their chances and we slowly come to turms with the large changes to the team with only 2 defenders fit we have to put Hurd centre half and Tulip right full back and to their credit both had good games dealing with a lot of pace from Percy Main. Half time and we manage to go in level, we re-group change tactics slightly and start second half better.Crame gets a little fortunate to turn the centre half and does well to finish.Main come back at us and this time the lad puts the ball in the bottom corner for a good finish.Yorky takes a free kick from edge of the box and puts the ball out of the keepers reach 2-1.Match day signing Jay Bates caps a good performance as he slots home the 3rd,Percy Main dont give in and keep us on edge as they push forward looking to get themselves back into game, this gives us 2 good 1v1 chances but keeper makes fine saves to keep the game finely balanced.

Wallsend Town 2 Killingworth Sporting 1

Two goals from Paul Gordon, later sent off alongside Dekker Graham. Killingworth awful in the first half but better in the second. Some debatable refereeing decisions but no excuse for either of the red cards. More here:
