Rutherford 0 - 6 Amble

Horrible performace from the home side who gifted Amble 4 goals with stupid individual erros but still Amble were a good outfit who will suprise a few.

Rutherford still have mcgregor and taylor injured with morris, oshin, toddhunter, dodd, mcdine and macoy all away so hopefully this was a one off!

Percy Main 3 - 3 Stocksfield

Percy 2 nil up and in total control, gave away needless corner on 49th min (1st half) and conceeded poorly. From the 2nd half whistle Stocksfield were all over us, should have scored on 46, and 47 - no surprise when we made another horror error to gift them equaliser. Our own doing again when we gave away a pen to go 3-2 down, one team in it, wasnt us, we equalised on about 85 with a cross that flew in past keeper - very lucky.

Disapointed that every team member seems to take turns at moment to make costly errors, when 2-0 up and in control. Well done to stocksfield whos work rate was top class and in my opinion deserved to hang on and win. still its a better start than last season !

for the record amble wont surprise anyone, there a very very good team and have been for a number of seasons - top 3 or 4 for them IMO.

Birtley St Jo's 1 V Grainger Park 2

0-0 at half time with both teams having good chances to take the lead.

The 2nd half saw Birtley miss a Penalty and then within minutes were 1 nil down, grainger park broke away to take the lead.

We responded well and managed to get an equaliser. But Grainger Park weren't giving up and credit to them, ball in from their left was tipped onto the bar, and to the credit of their striker he was on hand to slot in the winner after the defence had stopped!

Birtley had a few more half chances to get back in the game but seemed to hit everything at their keeper.

Great to get the season underway but it sucks getting beat!

Seaton Delaval 4 Ashington colliers 2. We went 3-0 up then conceded straight away to make it 3-1 but increased it to 4-1 by half time. finished 4–2. Not one bad tackle in the game but 5 yellow cards. I guess we basically took our chances because it was closer than it probably looks. David Brown once again created many problems for us. Class forward!

HARRABY UNITED 4 HEBBURN REYROLLE 1

Good start to the season . Hebburn came with a much changed squad , but competed well, took the lead on 9mins with Jacobs netting a rebound from his own missed pen , but we came back & levelled on 19 mins, [I missed both goals ,still in the bar ].
2cnd half we started well , 'Duggy' got his 2cnd on 48 , 'Chucky' added a 3rd on 53 [ I missed both goals , still in the bar ]. I saw the 4th ,'Tommo' with a header. Fair play to Hebburn ,they never stopped trying ,but , unusual for us ,we have started well . Good 'Craic' in bar after , although for a bloke supposedly taking a 'Back Seat' , I still seem to have a '1001' things to do , never mind ,on a 'Red Hot' day the 'Smiths' was delicious .

Duggy' got his 2cnd on 48 , 'Chucky' added a 3rd on 53 ODDJOBMAN now has the times when the others got the second and third rounds in!
