Very good team performance on Saturday. Lots of first team regulars missing 7 I think but the lads that came in were top class. Thought we were always on top of the game and never gave Esh a look in. The good form carried on from Jarrow even though the look of the team was very different. The much changed defence coped easily with Esh with Mr Versatile Davey Surrey adding the left back berth to his ever increasing playing positions. Midfield were always looking forward and we looked very strong in there with Hepps (M) playing just in front of Kieran who was excellent in there. Dan McGuire probably had his best game this season, Esh could not cope when he ran at them, more of that please Dan. The two up top caused all sorts of problems for the Esh rear-guard with Moleys neat skills complementing Clarkies power and pace perfectly. Tough assignment on Saturday away in Yorkshire at Northallerton (my favourite ground) but one I think where we could come away with something. Tough choices to be made by Colin, Baz and Porks if those "regulars" are returning but that is a good thing for them rather than only having 11 fit!!

MOM - have to give it to Clarkie who was immense for the 70 mins he was on and scored a great header. However not a poor performance on the pitch for CLS

Always interesting walking through the gate, looking at the team sheet thinking ...... who ? he's playing where and where's so and so and so and so ...... Graver on the bench, then gaps and a couple of youngsters ...... oh ....... :-)

Needn't have worried - they all meshed together and looked like they'd been playing as an 11 for the whole season.

Continue to be impressed by Josh King at right back, was very impressed with Matthew Ridley who looked calm and read the game very well - helped by Connor Lyon who was also excellent, mobile, organiser and not afraid to get stuck in ..... reminded me of Gary Turton from a few seasons ago.

Dan McGuire & Alex White always available and caused issues all game when they got the ball to feet and attached Esh.

Plenty of effort & endeavour up front - Clarkie non stop, Moley needs to anticipate the header being won a bit quicker.

Nice to see MHepps looking fitter and getting through the games.

MOTM : Davey Surrey - who knew left back was his best position - very good game there and when he moved into midfield later on.
