What a superb team performance.
First half nip and tuck with Guisbro hitting the bar and Dom denied by a great save however two keepers wouldn't have saved his opener just before half time. Second half we were absolutely top drawer, yes Jack had to pull off a great save at 2-0 but time and time again we nicked ball in midfield and hit them on the break and we ran out comfortable winners.

All this with the bare 11 and with Patta on the bench who is no where near fit, well done fellas

11 fit players, a half fit Patta on the bench with two lads from the U21 side to help out, a recipe for disaster? not a bit. What a shift the 11 players put in to continue the winning run. An even first half lit up by Doms twenty yarder in off the post just before HT - superb strike. Second half a la Washington we bossed the game and Jackie and Davey popped up with the goals to round off what was in the end a comfortable and vital win. Nice to see Patta get ten mins at the end and come through OK. MOM - all eleven (but Kegs and Pecky were outstanding against two strong physical strikers) Onward to the west and Penrith on saturday

Good solid performance on Saturday and more importantly, a valuable three points. I don't think Guisborough are a bad side either....I think we have been beaten off lesser teams, but in truth they never really threatened, and when they did Jack was more than equal to it. Supported by Kegs and Peck who were both excellent at the back I though that the result was based on a solid defensive display from front to back which gave us the foundation to hit them on the break.

Given the lack of numbers on Saturday due to injuries and 'other' reasons this was all the more remarkable and keeps us on a small winning streak, hopefully to be continued at Penrith on Saturday. Does anyone know the status of those that were missing and whether we expect a return? Have to also say, whilst we didn't need the two lads from the U21s on the day, its good experience for them and they deserve our thanks for coming down to Gusiborough
