Very calm, controlled performance from the lads on Saturday. Always in charge and on top against a spirited Atherton side who according to all the pre match banter expected to win. CLS should have been at least 2 up before Moley scored with a lovely header from a Graver corner just before half time. Our crack at HT was that we thought CLS would be better with a passing game going up the hill and so it proved .We bossed the second half and got the reward with another couple of good headed finishes from Moley and Stevo. Nice day out in the bus, nice people at Atherton and a game played in decent spirit obviously with the right result from our point of view. Well done lads a good day all round and we await the draw later today

First of all it was a great result but secondly I thought we were superb.
It's been a tough week for the squad after the embarrassment of Consett then losing a 3-0 midweek-lead however we were right on our game from the off on Saturday, we dominated all over the park and we all done our bits.
Tough draw away to North Shields but we'll give it our best.

Finally thank you to the committee and supporters that backed us down there, lads were spurred on by the support.

No MOM this week as I thought collectively it was a proper professional performance and each of us done our job
