Inconsistent chester again, i hear Hodko cry
After 2 encouraging performances the last 2 mid weeks we turn up on a Saturday and perform well below par for the 2nd week on the trott.

Today being a prime example.
No disrespect to Tow Law who fully deserved their 5-0 mauling of us today as they exposed us defensively time and time again after our 4th sending off of the season so far, but after the performance of Tuesday to the depths of today, just had to be seen to be believed. You would think that we had fielded a completely different 11 and employed completely different tactics. 2 enforced changes and the same system, yet we looked at times to be a side full of strangers.

For this, all i can do is apologies to the small band of followers that we do have, but believe you me I will not stop trying to get it right, even if it means building another side from scratch in the process. On another a thread its mentioned about Benfield signing 9 and Darlo signing 22 and the fact that it shouldnt be used as an excuse, but we have also lost all of our squad off last year barring Kieron MAc, and take it from me, at this level with out the heady resources of those 2 clubs, a massive transition does have an effect and sides do take time gel.

Colin ,I watched you last Tues for the second time ,the first at Seaham ,where u won convincingly . I think you have done a fabulous job having just taken over the reins. What you have to watch out for is people getting agitated when results don't go your way , don't take any notice of them ,just do what you are good at ,making progress with what you have to work with ,in fact just continue to do what you have been doing for years there . Keep up the good work .P

Think the very good start has heightened the expectations.

We've got some good players, but we need them all playing on the pitch at the same time and staying on the pitch !

Feels like we need a couple of "stella" signings to lift us in the way Sparky & McBryde did.
