Looked like the Birtley win came at a cost ..... we just weren't in it against Wickham.

Conceding early didn't help and a quickly taken free kick showed how lacklustre we were - not being ready for set plays has happened a few times this season - yesterday we were punished.

Very quiet - Donnas head down after a couple of early passes went amiss, no one else getting us going.

Missed the busy Buzzeo in midfield, Wickham trying to get the ball wide to play round us seemed to cause us problems.

Too many long balls, hitting Lynch in the head or midrift - so we took him out of the game by not playing to his feet. Front 2 quiet, only causing problems when Strong got to run past Keith Foster, which he did easily -why didn't we do that more than a couple of times ?

Still missing the forward point of the midfield diamond - Proctor not with it so far this season, Hepplewhite looked better as part of the front 2, get's pulled wide and does all his good work on the half way line - not far enough forward.

Still think Swanny would be the better option with Nixon up front

Good to see Rhys JUkes signed.

Don't know if the "undefeated" tag carries more pressure than it's worth - but that's gone now - hopefully we'll continue the excellent start to the season with points in the difficult games we have this week.

Feed with Swandog and he will score !!!

Fair reflection of the game , up until you scored i felt we were totally in control. A little nervy last 5 mins but a deserved win.

Looking at previous results was a little dissapointed in chester, probably just a blip as they have a good squad of players and will be close this season i would have thought.

Credit has to go to our team plan , as we knew how chester would play , with the diamond in midfield and no width. Hence the reason we played with 2 wingers as far wide as possible , it gave us numerous 1 on 1 out wide and stopped there full backs coming out at all.Having played with and against micky hepplewhite found it very strange he was playing in hole , much more effective as you say up top on last man. Maybe Chester will need a plan b if other teams play this way

Good luck to chester sure they wont be far away come may.
