Looked like the Birtley win came at a cost ..... we just weren't in it against Wickham.
Conceding early didn't help and a quickly taken free kick showed how lacklustre we were - not being ready for set plays has happened a few times this season - yesterday we were punished.
Very quiet - Donnas head down after a couple of early passes went amiss, no one else getting us going.
Missed the busy Buzzeo in midfield, Wickham trying to get the ball wide to play round us seemed to cause us problems.
Too many long balls, hitting Lynch in the head or midrift - so we took him out of the game by not playing to his feet. Front 2 quiet, only causing problems when Strong got to run past Keith Foster, which he did easily -why didn't we do that more than a couple of times ?
Still missing the forward point of the midfield diamond - Proctor not with it so far this season, Hepplewhite looked better as part of the front 2, get's pulled wide and does all his good work on the half way line - not far enough forward.
Still think Swanny would be the better option with Nixon up front
Good to see Rhys JUkes signed.
Don't know if the "undefeated" tag carries more pressure than it's worth - but that's gone now - hopefully we'll continue the excellent start to the season with points in the difficult games we have this week.
Feed with Swandog and he will score !!!
