The FA has released the constitutions to the league’s. There are 16 in the Wearside(including Darlington RA), there’s 15 in the NRL(including Stokesley)

Are the FA flouting their own rules with regards to Stokesley SC, which states a team cannot play in a League which is at the same level as the one they resigned from, in which they participated the season before? Admittedly Stokesley SC just had to hang on for a few more days to be transferred over, but they officially resigned from the Wearside League last week so by FA rules should not be playing at the same level next season. Merely pointing out FA not sticking to their own rules and not aiming to change the outcome, as if Stokesley SC want to play in the NRFL it's fine by me.

I asked this the other day and got the response that Stokesley had asked the FA to transfer them to the NRFL. Do they not need to formally resign from one league to enter another?

No Chris. Stokesley SC Reserves are still in the 1st Division, whilst the 1st team will be playing in the Premier Division.

No it's a sideways move. NRFL Premier Division is Step 7.

The Wearside league still has some insane travelling for a step 7 league. I’m sure in the next few years, the F.A. will laterally move Richmond & Windscale to other leagues. Hopefully the F.A. will finally create a step 7 Cumbrian league, in the next year or two.

Just think it is absolutely incredible that Richmond the "capital" of the North Riding of Yorkshire is still situated in the Wearside league. So much for the FA mappers must have had the map upside down. I understand that lateral movements should not be to essentially strengthen or weaken any league but on pure geographical terms this was a no brainer.

At the AGM see pages 2 & 3 of this thread. After the AGM, then Durham United would have to confirm that.
