Just seen on the coxhoe website that after a run of poor results and struggling for players recently they have decided to part company with manager Alan Cairn after 12 games in charge. Any ideas who might be in the running for the job? Been a few coming and goings in the last few weeks with managers think thats 4 already this season. Whos next it could be you!!

Hang on Coxhoe won 4-0 on Saturday and haven't had too many thrashings this season. In fact I think they haven't done too badly so feel they may have a bit rash to rid of their manager. Surely he has improved them compared to the last 2 seasons??

Yep loads of good results played 12 won 2, drew 2, lost 8 and are 3rd bottom. Must be in for bolton job. The week before he was sacked they had 2 subs and 1 was the himself so it probably is the right decision. Has he went back to wolviston as a coach or is was he just there watching?

I thought they were a couple of places higher. Never mind I don't really check the league positions just go by what thelittlefella updates me with generally. So as he's told me before that Coxhoe have finished bottom or 2nd bottom of the league regularly over the past few seasons then 3rd bottom is a small improvement.

This is the trouble with football, boards/people like this expect massive improvement within weeks/months going from the bottom of the league straight to the top, it just isn't going to happen, improvement happens in small amounts little by little over 6/7 months, this is a rash decision to sack the manager, I'm sure the only manager that would impress the committee enough to keep yhe job at Coxhoe is Jose moutinho, clubs won't improve if they keep sacking their managers every 4/5 months FACT

Ohh fuuu***%* Willington 3 v 2 Coxhoe Athletic. Nearly, nearly. I have told Redcar Ram that Coxhoe appear to have improved this season. So what if they are short of players as a number of teams in this League are. How worried were Willington tonight ? Sweating a bit? 100% per cent record intact at the end of the day is probably all that matters. Have Coxhoe Athletic improved compared to the last couple of seasons? What do other people think?

They may have improved since last season but its still another defeat and football is a results game. considering willington were down to 10 men at 1-1, now is that a good result?. Thats the best chance a side has had this season to stop willingtons 100% record and they couldnt do it on. So the record goes marching on on on!!

Coxhoe seem to have improved over the last couple of games.
I gather tonight's game was a fiesty affair with 3 sending's off. Coxhoe my sources tell me gave it a good account of themselves and had Willington under pressure but that Willington are a well organised, extremely fit side who work very hard. A decent crowd there too by all accounts who put the referee under pressure for at least one of the sendings off. Described as no quarter given by either side and a bit like a Northern League game "it never let"!

Certainly the team everyone has to measure themselves against at present but it's a long season and they will slip up at some stage, but well done to the management team up at Hall Lane who are pointing the club in the right direction.

Cracking game last night! Thought we deserved the result in the end. As for the red cards, our lad kicked out so deserved to go! Coxhoes reds well the first apparently a two footed tackle from where I was it was very harsh and there was no pressure from anyone to give it!! The second was coming and the player in question number 8 was lucky not to go earlier, booked in the first half then was in the refs ear till he sent him, his own team mates were calling him!!
Good luck to Coxhoe for the rest of the season, if they keep them lads together they should pick up plenty of points!

here's a one for ya's....

after the 2nd coxhoe player got sent off last night (i'll not name him) he threw his shirt off and went head to head with the refferee refusing to leave pitch, the crowd started getting at him so as he went off he exposed himself..lol

I'm led to believe the manager was sacked not for results but because there wasn't a settled squad.

Now that's an awful reason to sack a manager.
