Got splattered at yeserday's match shortly after we went 1-0 up and before I could pass the details onto my mate Chris (Redcar Ram). Our defender Shaun Taylor booted the ball with force out for a throw 10 feet from me and it was headed full on for my face. I only had time to put up my left hand and it took the full impact, although I did suffer a cut to my chin as the ball forced the pad and pen I was holding into my face. I had to have over 10 minutes treatment in the first aid room as everyone thought my cut was quite deep. I was more concerned with my wrist which was beginning to swell. hopefully i've not broken it but this morning it is double it's normal size, hurts like hell and I don't have any flexibility in it. Anyhow shouldn't moan too much as on one of the other pitches yesterday at Grayfields a player broke his leg whilst playing in a game.
Onto yesterday's game Redcar Athletic were in command at half time leading 2-0 with goals coming from James Kesterton. It was 3-0 and game over early in the 2nd half when Billy Millington netted. Although Seaton Carew deserved their goal with 4 minutes to go it was a bit disappointing not to have kept a clean sheet. Possibly our best performance of the season yesterday and James Kesterton appears to have got his Mojo back as he was sizzling hot yesterday.

Seeing as it was a Redcar Athletic player who splattered me shouldn't that be taking one FROM the team?
Damaged ligaments was the diagnosis at A&E yesterday. Have to wear a splint on my wrist until swelling goes down. it's sore as but as I said on Saturday a lad in the other game being played at Grayfields broke his leg so I can't really moan and groan too much. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery.
