Weston- I might be wrong but didn't your manager during pre season ban all players from posting on here due to just arguments arrising.

PS Wyatt Earp, more like Wyatt Twerp. I have criticisedWillington in the past and said they were not ready for a higher league both on and off the pitch but over the last year or so they have made giant steps. I think that if they were to be promoted now then they would be able to hold their own in the Northern League 2nd division although they would need to strengthen player wise. The manager who Wyatt slated must be the best in this league. Afterall they were always bottom or close to it until he took over. The pitch has improved no end and if there is a more friendly/helpful secretary i will be very surprised.

Keep up the good work people and you will no doubt have a great season. Credit where credit is due.

Best positive post I've read on here in yonks, gotta say well done Rob Lee - a credit to local football. :D

Willington seem to be off to a flying start. Well Done.
Hope to get over to see a game soon

you sound like a very bitter man,,,,i dont think anyone at Willington has taken our start as anything other than just that, a good start, and your very right nothings won in August but even less in pre season (which is what you started the thread about). We had 98 watching on Wed night and i noticed quite a few of them were players etc from the pub teams we played pre season so we got a decent run out against them and made some new friends,

What a complete d*ck h**d you are Mr Twerp !

Willington's disastrous start to the season continues and as for the crowd, most of the clubs in Div2 of the Northern League would be overjoyed to get a crowd anything near that.

I would consider 98 to be a big crowd for a Wearside league team. As someone has already said i bet there is a lot of Northern League Div Two sides dont even get that. Infact some in Div One dont also.

98 only beaten twice in NL2 so far

Crook v Brandon (107)
N Shields v Morpeth (181)

Mostly gates are in the 40-50 region so 98 at Willington is good.

100 is a great crowd for this league, I'd like to know what Cleator Moor get, normally decent size over there too..
