Heard a few rumours over the last few days that some clubs in the wearside league are paying players. Richmond, Stockton players are on win and draw bonuses, and Hartlepool are paying some players £50 a game. Now i know why Danny Lockwood has went their who will no doubt finish top scorer in the league, if the money doesnt dry up.

If Hartlepool are paying this kind of money it would be an embarrasment if they dont win the league.

I am only going to post one time on this subject. No-one at hartlepool fc are getting paid at this moment in time. We as a club are working hard trying to gain sponsorship ect for this season. The players and management spoke regarding this matter on wednesday and we put everyone in the picture in what was happening or in this matter NOT happening. I also hear certain clubs are being paid ie easington, peterlee, seaton, murton but to be honest that's there buisness not mine and I certainly don't feel the need to broadcast it on here. I do hope this puts an end to the rumors as that is all it is.

I know that certain players who just joined Hartlepool this season are getting paid as they got offered money to go elsewhere and closer to their homes, in a higher league. So why would some players play at a lower stantard? Further travel? And for no money?

I dont know why clubs trying to keep this quite. They should be proud they have got a sponsor willing to put money into there club to help them progress.

Good luck to them but anything but the title would be disappointment. No pressure :)

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones young baz.

Don't say other clubs are paying if you don't like it being said about your club.

I've heard use are and you say your not, either way aiam not arsed but don't state that others are.

Different season same s+it. Does it matter if a club is lucky enough to pay? Loads of teams have paid over the years its happened for years and years. I mean West End players are on 50s each for a win cos Dave Young is a millionaire. In the Houghton Town days it was a pat on the back and a soapy Wa+k If you were lucky!! Haway lads let's not start this crap.
