Well what can I say??

That was a million miles better than Saturday.
The lads were up for it from the off, we limited Synners attacking threat, and came closest to scoring ourselves in the first half when we rattled the bar from a corner. Half time finished goal-less and we had matched an in-form and strong NL1 side on their home turf. Things were about to get much, much better.
Straight from the kick off in the second half we put the Synners defence on the back foot, and only a few minutes had passed when a clear goal scoring chance fell to us. The Synners defender chopped us down and we were awarded a penalty. McPhillips just about had enough power on the penna to prevent the Synners keeper from saving it. Not the greatest penalty you'll ever see, but they all count. Our 2nd goal WAS good, a lovely passing move around the midfield left the Synners lads chasing shadows, and despite a rough looking challenge to try and stop the flow, Ozzy was there at the end of it to slide it in the bottom left corner, a great goal.
Seconds later it was game over...a 2nd yellow then a red card left Synners with ten men and Guizzy just needed to play it simple and safe as the clock wound down.
That was more like it!!
Only downside is I think a few of our lads at the back (Woods and Roddam) picked up knocks and were subbed. Get well soon folks!
