The preseason preparations continue this Wednesday against a side which impressed when we met them 27 weeks ago in the North Riding Senior Cup.

We won that night with Jamie Poole scoring the only goal of the match.

Guisborough Town v Redcar Athletic this Wednesday 25th July, kicking off at 7.45pm.

Admission will be £3 and £1.50 concessions (over 60's, Juniors and disabled).

Turnstile open at 7pm and Club House open for drinks.

:) :)

Guisborough Town 0 Redcar Athletic 1 HT
Guisborough Town 0 Redcar Athletic 2 FT

Guisborough Team from:

Liam McPhillips, Billy Blackford, Michael Jameson, Adam Gell, Sam Hodgson, Gary Wood, Mark Casey, Craig Bishop, Daniel Dixon, Jack Connor, Danny Earl, Liam O'Sullivan, Jake Matthews, Ryan Foster, Dec Jameson, Lewis Wood, James Decosemo.

(Austin Johnston, Paul Roddam, Joel Guy, Nathan Steel, Lee Bythway all unavailable and Luke Bythway picked up an injury in the Thornaby game).

No in depth review as I was not taking notes and still geting to know the potential new players. Gary Wood picked up an early injury and with Mark Casey being the only regular member of the back four and this being his first game it is perhaps no surprise that the defending struggled several times as Redcar attacked. Not an excuse just an observation as Redcar deserved the win with some flowing football as the little fella describes.

One of the new players was signed on last night though after playing well in the first friendlies.

Thanks to Redcar Athletic for agreeing to visit us and best of luck to them for the season ahead.
