Yes apparently 1st game of season will be on weekend of 11th Aug - Fa cup extra preliminary round.

I was told by Dave Robinson that the FA Cup Extra Prelim Round is Sat 11th August, and the League will start on Saturday August 18th .

a league start on the 18th aug is a bit late is'nt it, half or more of the 2nd
division clubs wont be allowed entry in the fa cup. most other non leagues
start earlier-i believe the blue square is on 4th aug

Last season the first league games were on 13 August with the FA Cup a week later. Ten second division teams not in the FA Cup were given league fixtures on the 20th. All I can see that has happened is that the two weekends have been switched around.

The league were told by the FA when the FA cup games start and the league feel starting on the 4th was too early. Fair enough IMHO
