it didnt suprise me either,hes been out the game along time,its hard at this level if you dont have many contacts players wise,which only comes from playing or being an assitant at this level.last i heard of davey rush playing was about 8 year ago he was player manager in sunderland sunday morning prem lge.

to be fair colly you know robba better than me and i suspect he had the same or even less budget than rushy yet he got success in the 17 years he was there

about the same beanie, however it took rocco 10 years of management to build those contacts up and rushy came in and took over a squad that were tonys players in all honesty so he was peeing against the wind from day one. plus it was a massive ask to take over from a man whom had devoted 17 years of his life to the club and had achieved a decent level of success with a humble budget, i would hope that we see rushy managing again at some point soon but maybe he should have learned to crawl before he could walk and took over at a lower level club and got his wings there....

hope he isn't traumatized from the experience and that he emerges again as he was a genuine bloke who always had the clubs best interests at heart.
