Well I dont know much about the reasons and stuff but I've got to say this rules rubbish at the top of the page is really off putting and a bit far fetched to the point that the amount I am looking at this site is dropping. I realise there's idiots everywhere with crazy posts but its all part of it. If they say defamoatory comments surely they are liablous for it.

I looked at other sites on here in other leagues and nobody else has got this requirement apart from the NL. At least put it at the bottom of the page so you haven't got to scroll everytime you go on a page.

People will say some posts are childish, with this rules stuff you're playing to their hands and letting them win......lets get back to normal. Its not a bank account we're using here where you need controls, its a chatroom environment......I looked at many chatrooms and dont see this, why this one?

Just one guys humble opinion but enough to just stick to other websites.

Surely they could put a link to the rules/disclaimer at the top of the page??

would make sense as it is a bit annoying.

I have no opinion, I'm already on a warning for questioning the removal of a perfectly decent post!

I dont agree anyones on a 'Power Trip' or have any personal agendas on this Forum, but i must agree it's annoying having to scroll down half a Page to read anything everytime you look at a page.

But the Moderators have given their reasons and its still there call.

I agree with Ressly I think. I'm not suggesting power trips and we need rules, you just dont need them thrown at you every single time (and it is every single time) you open a page. Completely OTT.

There has to be a more a reasonable approach.

Its a great forum but we run the risk of screwing it up by over compensating to a small few......if we did that for everything the world wouldnt turn.

The crazy posts dont bother me at all, just rise above it.

They are what we sign up to and it is schoolish that we have to scroll past them each time we enter the site, I doubt if anyone reads them each time so it makes little sense really.
A one-liner would be more apt!
Come on Keith where are you?

link to forum rules at the top of the page is a good option IMO.

I really don't care any more. Sort it amongst yourselves.

You will just get used to scrolling past the rules........trust me, post more and you won't notice them after a short while. 8)

The rules being posted at the top of each page are no less annoying than having to scroll through the Rugby League related picture in your signature on this, a nonleague football forum.

Fact is, whilst it may be a nuisance, some users (and if the cap fits etc...) need reminding of the rules of the forum, it is worth taking a look at and familiarising oneself with rules 1 and 6, the amount of time taken by the mods and admin dealing with the crap that contravenes these is ridiculous and Keith I fully understand your apparent despair. There are plenty of places on the web where folk can act the daisy and the site admin and mods have decided that this isn't one of them. Get over it and find a new playground or toe the line on this site.
