A superb performance by Heaton Stan last night, deserved victory. The match was of a high standard from both sides - competitive, end to end and played in the right spirit.

That's 8 wins in a row now .... on to a tough away league fixture @ Billingham Town on Saturday.

Good results for both "the Stan" and West Allotment in the NSC.

I was at Esh Winning v Darlington last night in what turned out to be a very entertaining game.

Esh can hold their heads high as they gave Darlo a real good run for their money. Couple of what could be described as 'sloppy' goals gave Darlo the advantage, but Esh had their chances and the Darlo keeper was by far the busier, especially in the second half.

According to The Echo there was quite a few first team players. Really surprised at the attendance though, around 70

Yeah, I thought there might be more as, I think, so did Esh. Programme notes were expecting "bumper crowd".

Deserved win for The Stan on Wednesday. Whitley's defending was poor & although I thought the pen was a fairly shocking decision we were lucky to even be level at half time. Second half we brought better players on off the bench & Salmon missed a bit of a sitter to make it 4-4 but we didn't deserve anything from the game.

A canny few ex-Bay players on the pitch for Stan & it seemed to mean a lot more to them as evidenced by their tweets after the match.

Since the game The Stan have added another ex-Bay lad, Thibault Charmey to their squad who is a great signing. Hopefully the season they finally come up!
