Congratulations to all at Dunston.
The FA Cup run we went on this season is nothing short of outstanding.
The way that the Gateshead game was planned and organised was truly professional.
To keep ticket prices at the standard price, speaks volumes for the committee.
To gain the media coverage that we have has risen the profile of the Club to a whole new level.
To defeat the teams we have on this amazing run shows the quality we have at this Club.
To get a crowd on the day higher than three teams in League 2 and the 3rd highest in non -league football is a huge achievement.
The hard work put in by all associated with the Club deserves recognition.

Hats off to you all.

Have to agree with you Danny
The way the whole cup run has been handled has been excellent .
Some of the other clubs in the area could learn a lot from their exploits.

High praise indeed for Dunston, But please also remember that Gateshead deserve a mention when it came to the match day ticket price, Dunston had to agree with Gateshead on how much the ticket price should be, Gateshead could have easily have said NO, and they want the ticket price to be what the FA recommends for that stage of the competition, Last season South Shields wanted to charge £8.00 for an FA Cup match the same price that they would charge for a league game, But Bridlington refused and they had to charge £10.00 and apparently Bridlington were equally entitled to this request, Personally greed set in and they thought 1000+ gate and we will grab the money, So once again fare play to both Dunston and Gateshaed.

Which would have been £6.00!

Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:
In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00
In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00
In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00
A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.
I agree though, fair play to both clubs.

I agree with your point. I apologise for neglecting to congratulating The Heed. The coverage and build up they gave the game certainly helped to encourage the attendance. They sold their allocation within hours. The fact that there was no segregation illustrates the realationship between the two clubs.
I wish Gateshead all the best against Rochdale and hope that they can progress through the competition and thus earn a good amount of money.
