We have a most critical next appointment for my team and beloved Durham City

I wasn't able to join the game last night but yet again we lost and struggled to score but I was told by friends we were unlucky yet again - surely our luck must turn soon.

Our next managerial appointment is the most critical decision my club will take in many a year.

We are 19th in NL2 and other than the last season and a half with Oliver Hotchkiss who performed miracles on a zero budget and young boys we have been in continuous decline.

We have only scored 2 goals and seem destined for the Wearside League which will cause many a tear for all Citizens but give many other a club reasons to celebrate. (It's what other clubs do)

I know that there are firm plans for a new ground and the board have worked tirelessly to keep the club alive, so my club cannot allow yet another relegation.

The next managerial appointment will really show the true ambitions of our club and our new Manager must be able to very quickly attract new players to save us from what others see as an inevitable relegation scenario that the cynics are predicting.

This next appointment will be the most critical managerial appointment in the modern history of Durham City AFC and I hope that its a good one and also that there is a small budget available to avoid the new Manager having the unenviable record of being personally responsible for Durham City AFC relegation to the Wearside League.

I remain hopeful - We cannot allow our great club to decline any further but the next decision will make a big statement about intent - Let's hope it's a really positive one - and not Allardyce ;-)

I hope I can come back on here soon and say "we are on our way back" - you have no idea how hard some people have worked personally to keep our club us afloat - they deserve to see some progress so hope the next appointment truly shows the intent and desire of the Club

#DurhamFamily

Wayne Gredziak has been appointed as manager of Durham City, according to the club's Facebook account.

Durham will come good - at least a couple of teams that have played worse this season so far.

Just seen the announcement - quick appointment which was needed, Wayne has been no.2 all season so knows the current players and Paul Wilky was no.2 to Chris Moore and is Durham through and through. Fingers crossed we can now turn things around quickly. #DurhamFamily

Hopefully they do stay up, but not sure by appointing somebody who has been
there all season can attract new players.
Just in my opinion a new manager with fresh ideas with a few more connections from previous clubs and a possibility of bringing in former players would of been the way to go.
This is nothing against Wayne by the way. Good Luck Durham

I agree with Noel. Durham played some good football at times on Tue night. Although Northallerton deserved the win, Durham where very unlucky in front of goal.

I wish them all the best, they had a reasonable turn out and seem to have a very loyal band of supporters and helpers

I wonder if Gredz will decide to play himself, he is their top scorer isn't he?

Only joint top with the Birtley Town lad who fired into his own net. At least the new manager knows where the main problem is that needs to be sorted out. You can't rely on the opposition to score half your goals for the rest of the season.

From what I saw on Saturday I think Durham will eventually get going . Some decent players just lacking confidence . Hope the new manager turns it around .

the squad dont seem to be able to pick up any points with traditional football...should resort to the old wimbledon and lincoln city style..hoof the ball into the box at every opportunity...feed off the scraps.
