Is the club also offering season tickets for standing areas only? I ask because I have a season ticket at my local club which guarantees entry but not a seat, which doesn't bother me as I prefer to walk around the pitch or just lean on the barrier. Perhaps when I am older (I am only 70 now) I might be wanting or needing a seat.

If the demand is there we will sell them.

Must admit, I was surprised they didn't fit in two stands of 50 either side of the dugout. I appreciate costs etc but this problem won't go away.

Just out of interest have these seats actually been marked on the seats as taken? Or is it essentially going to be a game of minesweeper for away fans, as to whether they are in a taken seat?

You won't get into the real Interpol. If you went into the link I posted you'd have discovered the cost of the stand was funded by the Football Foundation Football Stadia Improvement Fund. We requested funding for 100 seats but they will only provide funding for a 50 seater stand at Step 6 level. As for us putting another one in ourselves all I can do is  . They are not cheap and there's no buy one get one free offers out there for them. Plus we have neither a Saudi Prince nor a Russian Oligarch at our club to buy us one. We are allowed to apply for further funding if we are promoted in the future to Step 5 level and I have been informed that we already have planning permission in place for 2 more stands.

Each seat will be fitted with an individual named plaque of the Season Ticket holder.

Ridiculous really. Funding isn't guaranteed so what happens if you get promoted, then can't meet the ground grading deadline due to lack of funding?! Teams should be able to apply for funding to meet the next step up.

The FSIF is virtually guaranteed, however Clubs need to find 30% of the cost. That said Ive often wondered if the traditional method of building these stands would prove much cheaper than the flat pack ones that appear everywhere, and so allow for more seats for the same cost. Does anyone know the retail cost of a 50 seater stand ?

I think I’m right in saying that step 6 teams need to have an F Grade, by the 31st March the season they’re promoted. So if Redcar were in a position to go up this season, then they’d have to pass the ground grading in 8 months time.

Yea that's right, but that doesn't allow much time to get 100% of funding in place, plus any planning permissions etc if not already gained.

Do any other clubs in NL2 charge extra for a seat?
To the best of my knowledge you just rock up pay your admission and
Sit in an available seat .
If they are all taken get there earlier next time

I would like to think of those 40, a few of them would be willing to give up their seats for an away fan who could not stand for the game! Or am I being soft?
