The league have confirmed the first division will run with 19 teams for the coming season.

The important thing now, is to seek information from the FA as to what the relegation criteria is! Will it be the 19th placed team only or will they follow the standardised rules & relegate the bottom 2 placed sides?

All down to the FALC now isn't it? Would have thought it'll be an additional 2nd placed team across step 6 on PPG basis.

I listened to the latest NEfootballpodcast & none of the promotion/relegation changes were raised. If this relegation point isn’t raised, between now & the end of the season. The team finishing in the 18th position, might find themselves relegated & have no idea that it’s a possibility. Surely this point should be clarified, before the start of the season! Even if everyone’s aware, but it’s not been clarified. How awful it’d be for the club & its fans. Awaiting the FALC decision!

The thing is with the FALC now wanting to settle many promotions on a PPG basis across the entire steps, we're going to have these disputes every summer.
