Give the lads a chance, hebburn are a good side we are there saturday.at the end of the day friendlies. Mean nothing,it's all about fitness and preparation.we lost 5 0 on Tuesday albeit against a top side and came away happy enough.it was always going to be difficult for durham, with a completely new squad and set up.

Totally agree , Pre season is all about getting the fitness back in the legs. Got to test the players or whats the point. Hebburn Reserves will be a test for any NL 2 team. They will certainly be one of the favorites for the Wearside League so no shame in a 3.0 especially when trying to build a new squad.

we all know its mostly a fitness thing..nobody likes to get beat especcially off lower ranked teams..if you carnt score in a friendly it must damage your confidence for the season ahead...as barry just mentioned getting well beat off consett..stilll they will take something from that game...consett are a very decent NL side.poor bishop got hammered 0-8 dont think ian chandler will think friendlys are meanless.
