I dont know the ins and outs of contracts but the players listed as registered by Team North are all contracted players. Will those contracts have to be paid up, honored. Could cost a canny wedge if the have to pay them up. :?: :?:

Not if the contract don’t have any monetary value

Seams like something is up at Northumbria University as the Team Northumbria women's netball team have also pulled the plug out of the Womens National League.

Their excuse of trying to broaden grassroots sports doesn’t fit with the strategies of performance sport that they have been banging on about for years.

Well, this is what happens when you deal with the "educated classes".

Not really sure what that is supposed to mean, considering they have done the same as Jarrow Roofing (other than timing)

My lad is down as being contracted this year but hasn't signed anything (deliberately as he wants to play Sundays) so why they are listed as contracted, I don't know.

Are you suggesting we on here are undereducated or uneducated.? If so then I'd probably agree with you. There, their, calm down everyone. Your starter for 20, which was the wrong there or their in the last sentence?

Could get a bit messy, what happens to a contract when that club is no longer in the league? In this case (unlike jarrow) the in hasn’t necessarily folded.

Presumably it'd be rendered null and void but in some cases any debt is shared between the staff?

I agree with Mike on this .Theres always a risk that teams with virtually no support base will disappear in the end. Once the plug is pulled there is no one to revive it. I certainly won’t miss Team North , soulless set up and how their toilets constituted being in the ground I’ll never know

I really feel sorry for the Team North players/staff who found out on social media that there is no more Team North
