If money talks Hebburn?!?

Div1
West Auckland

Relegated
Whitley Bay
Seaham
Penrith

Div2
Chester le Street to go up

Will 3 teams.be relegated? Only the Champions are guaranteed to be promoted after all.

Only two teams will be relegated from Div 1

Yeah possibly could of done with one hard hitter in the team.
But I thought Durham had a pretty decent season last year. Until the last month or so
they were in the top 8 most of the season.
They also had a decent cup run beating Team North and outplaying Shildon only to
lose on pens.
Yes inconsistency was a major factor but they also beat all the promoted teams.
I think the manager and the players would of all stopped if promises were kept.

Div 2 outsiders - Willington for me

Great to have a local derby hope its in our new ground

The fact that they’re at nominal step 8. The only league you could possibly play them in next season. Is the Wearside League! It’s great that you’d look forward to a local derby though....

Hebburn should win Division One by the end of February.

Both Billingham sides, Heaton, Redcar, Thornaby and NTFC I expect to be challenging with a few others in the mix. Synners will be the team to beat IMO - young Pollock will have some decent contacts.

Blimey at least 2 people on here know more than I do about Redcar Athletic's prospects in the Northern League next season. Who are we signing to give you that confidence? I wish I was joking but I'm not. 18th place is my target currently.

I think you’ll have a decent season & mid-table should be the minimum you’ll achieve. With the bottom 2 almost certainly being relegated*, Div2 will be more competitive in the future.
*if the maximum 38 Step 7 league teams across the country are promoted, then all bottom 2 step 6 teams will be relegated. Any less than the 38 teams, then the best 2nd bottom team on a ppg basis across the country will be reprieved. Then the next best & so on....
So if no teams apply from any of the 3 feeder leagues, 2 teams will be laterally transferred from neighbouring step 6 leagues.

If Birtley secure the players our management are talking to then i am confident we will have a decent season. First year back so without knowing the opposition we will be facing i will be happy to stay up there. Mid table would be a good effort or maybe higher.

Washington will no doubt be there or there about Chester will improve, and Northallerton who were very close last year up there for me. No doubt about it a very interesting season ahead.

Hope your right but i think consolidation is more than Durham can hope for
after losing which now is apparently most of the entire first team .
like i say hope i'm wrong because they have a some lads who work hard for the club.
Lets hope peoples expectations are not too high for mostly alliance and reserves
players making up the squad.

agreed NGW dont think success is on the agenda...more of a case of survival until the proposed new ground is built.the lads running the club @the moment are doing a fantastic job just to keep afloat...every confidents the club will come through the other side....

You can't score 500+ league goals in the past 5 seasons and not do well at a higher level. Ryhope and Stockton to name a couple have done well when coming up.
