I look at this as a reward for Bishops fans, players and backroom staff who have stuck by the club during this torrid season. We dont get to many cup finals in this era, this only the second since 2004 i think.

Plenty of Bishops fans heading to Consett on Saturday. I know the Supporters Club coach is full and a mini bus has also been organised by another supporter.

Testament to Colin Myers also if he signs off with a piece of silverware, as he did during his first spell at the club when that ended in 2013.

After Saturday it is important that the club starts afresh with a new approach and go out and target a manager that can propel us to compete at the top of the league next season.

I'll be coming along to both games, I think the price is great value for money especially given the £6 announcement.

It will be interesting to see if Dunston need to get out of 2nd gear this time though!

Anything can happen on the day we were massive underdogs aswell against Spendy, few out injured and a few cup tied but we will give it a go and see what happens

End of the day they are 4 trophies to play for at the end of the season and we are in contention for one of them, we have only won 1 cup since Tony Lee's spell and that was when Colin was manager lets hope he can make it 2

Hate to be pedantic but 2003 DCC win was under Alan Shoulder wasn't it? Hadn't Tony Lee left before the final?

Disappointed that I am stuck across the pond and my son playing in a cup final that I won’t be at, if anyone hears of a live fb stream or similar please let me know - aware of the commentary.

Congratulations Dunston. A well deserved cup win.
Considering the amount of games The Fed have had to play over the last month, this win is a huge achievement.
Enjoy your celebrations tonight.
You also made my little lads day as mascot.
Quality Club all round.

Congrats to Dunston, deserved winners on the day but a very tight game with few chances. Bishops two moments were a great chance for Chris Winn and then what appeared to be a perfectly good goal ruled out when it was still 0-0 but it wasn’t to be. Must say once again the young lads who stepped up from the U23s didn’t look out of place at all again.

Great support from Bishops fans yesterday. Any ideas what the crowd was?

I thought there was very little to separate the two sides in the first half. Second half and Dunston seemed to have created the better chances. As for the dismissed Bishop goal, I was on the other side so I can’t comment. That’s not some Arsene Wenger style cop out btw.
I think the crowds at the two games seemed to be split evenly over the two finals, probably around the 350-400 mark.
Hardly a classic cup final, but after the disappointment of the DCC final and the relentless run of games Dunston have play recently, I’m delighted to see Dunston finish the season with something to show for their efforts.
