Coxhoe's ground. In reality however the league should step in. Durham's nomadic existence is not really fair on other up and coming clubs. It is against the rules to get a promotion by putting a ground share in place but it is OK to guarantee your place in the league by groundsharing. I understand circumstances were against Durham City but really next season will be their third or fourth season without a ground and without any sort of plan to build or re-furbish a ground it really cannot be allowed to continue. I would suggest that two seasons should be the maximum for a ground share then a club must have firm plans in place, planning permissions to build or re-furbish and concrete plans for funding etc in place to move on. Harsh yes but fair to others wanting to progress as well

we all know city are having a struggle to keep afloat...one thing certain they wont get any help from the council...they would rather have horses grazing on land than offering it to a football club...see how the council stepped in when the ice rink went..theres an ideal ground at sherburn village welfare...it wouldnt take much to bring it up to NL standard.

Why should the Council financially help a private business, would they do that for others...I doubt it . Did Durham City own their previous ground that they sold in the mid 90s ?

to put it short Wack.. durham owened the old ground at ferens park in the city.....the club were struggling for money..the entrepreners moved in with a few grand..sold the ground..bought the old civil service ground for peanuts 22 acres 300,000...so all the wealth created on the 22 acre site should of been the football clubs not the folk who came on board with a supposed rescue packet...THE CLUB WERE SOLD DOWN THE RIVER...LITTERALY.

Another ground share I assume

Didn't we hear a while ago about a decision made and information shortly - never happened. What about Peterlee, a ground share with Horden egg chasers  ? Used to be a half decent ground at Wingate as well, Durham City rugby? Shotton had a decent ground still there I think endless possibilities!!!!!

It would be a great shame if one of the bottom 3 are relegated & Durham stay up! Teams that are run the right way & have suitable grounds.

That would be ironic if Brandon do get relegated

Lack of respect quoting OUR ground a quagmire we no worse than anybody else, especially in this weather,I'm sure you don't know all the facts if any of them, reference the last time Durham wanted to groundshare at OUR ground.it was the council's greed that gazumped the deal,as soon as they got wind of the deal they wanted double the lease for the remaining 17 years, and it couldn't be changed again if Durham were to leave after two years for their own new ground, leaving us to pick up the pieces.with that attitude no wonder no one wants you.whether it is Brandon now or not I can't confirm, but we might not be In the northern league next season looking at our position.but it's still OUR ground.local lad if you're not happy coming to Brandon and being bailed out again,go and speak to your club owner and tell him that.

Wow you did well to get out of that last deal Barry. Never ever thought of Brandons ground as a quagmire or even one that cuts up badly - just a bit chilly at times 8) lets hope our game gets played next time around!!
