Think even the most ardent Shields fan might agree they were lucky to get all three points today. Bay played over an hour with 10 men after going behind to a deflected shot (3rd game in a row that has happened to Whitley), but second half the home side played like they had the extra man and deserved the 87th minute equaliser. Shields then got the breaks in injury time to make the win look convincing. Also what a fantastic attendance of 749 - best in the Northern League this season!

Incorrect. Bishops had 750 there when they played West.

Well two of us got in at half time today due to a kick off time malfunction, so by my reckoning for the second half at least, its another defeat for Bishops

Great attendance considering there's a fair few people boycotting the club at the minute. It was difficult to stay away today as a season ticket holder, I just am still disillusioned with the club.

Whitley Bay had Williams red carded after 44 minutes, so i'm not sure how they played for over an hour with ten men. A poor game on a bog of a pitch with Whitley Bay playing the better football in the second half. The game came to life after 85 minutes when Mccafferty made the howler of howlers and presented Whitley with a deserved equaliser but then Bainbridge, yet again and Holmes gave Shields a somewhat flattering win.
