Sad to see that Prudhoe Town are close to calling it a day, they have resigned from the Wearside League and currently sit bottom of it and are even struggling to raise a team for home games.

Will always be remembered for the Groundhop day when the cross bar broke and needed hasty repairs.

Prudhoe Town's next 2 games have been deleted from the Wearside League fixtures list. Next League Management Meeting is due to be held next Tuesday. Looks ominous.

For those who are not aware Prudhoe Town as of Tuesday resigned with immediate effect from the Wearside League. Their results are to be expunged and the League is to be adjusted accordingly. There's a Northern League ready ground now lying empty.

I understand Prudhoe Town entirely haven't folded, just the senior Wearside League Team. Hopefully we'll see them back shortly a bit like we've seen with the likes of Forest Hall and Newcastle East End in the Alliance.
