Answer above question... Strange one that cos when it comes to clubs saying they cant afford promotion you have a barage of people claiming they know all the clubs budgets

Think the answer is pretty obvious, clubs don’t get any money, but of course they are eligible to apply for grants etc with the respective bodies.

You comparison isn’t a good one as the funds are distributed by awarding bodies which clubs don’t really have an insight with.
Club playing budgets have an involvement with players and managers who move clubs and “talk”

Durham City in the 1950,s when the club was run by local butchers allegedly offered a bishop player a joint of beef to sign for them...also offered seamus oconnell £20 a week who turned it down.....in the same period sir stanley mathews jackie milburn len shackleton were on £20 a week.

Many of us have some understanding to Clubs budgets, its common knowledge around the Northern League. Clubs that are ran as Ltd Companies accounts are in the public domain. I can also confirm that the FSIF pays 50% grant funding for 1st Div Clubs and 70% funding for Second Div Clubs. So if a Club apples for floodlights for example, and is currently at step 6, they would be eligible for approx £42,000. There's over 700 clubs potentially eligible for grant funding (subject to ground lease etc)
