How could they be admitted straight into the NL?

They might find the wearside league easier to get out of as I think they'd start in the Alliance 2nd div.

BUT who knows as frankly anything's possible these days

Can’t see how they could come straight in at Level 6( NL2) but has happened in other parts of the country. Can confirm that if they applied to Northern Alliance they would join in at Second Division so Wearside League looks better prospect

Would they get into the wearside league or would they have to start in the new development division that's on the horizon.

They will have to start in northern alliance or Wearside league. The feeder leagues to The northern league.

Must have had a change of personnel in charge down at Maiden castle. Durham University usually couldn't give a monkeys toss about football even the inter colleges leagues, they are more concerned about rugby, cricket, hockey, archery, rowing, ffs they are more interested in lacrosse than football. Obviously they have the facilities to go straight into any league be it on the grass pitch or one of the many 4G pitches they have but I would be astounded if there was any legs in this. Football is for the working classes dontchaknow 8)

The head of football at Durham Uni is Chris Moore ex Durham manager and now coach at Whitley Bay , i've heard it mentioned before they would be interested in running a adult Saturday team also now they have a first class venue that would pass ground grading no problem .

You would think not if you have a look at the "clientele" at Durham. The "working class game" at Durham is a poor sixth, seventh or eighth in the pecking order for sport although Ladies football seems to be making a bit of a breakthrough.

There's always the red brick uni's for the great unwashed 8)

'Team Durham' are trying to become the top performing Uni in the country sports wise - they're putting a lot of money into it too in fairness and as other Universities have teams within the football pyramid I can imagine this is just another step in the right direction in terms of their overall goal.
