Not on the Teesside coast it certainly hasn't been dry. There was a very heavy downpour between 2am and 5am Friday. Redcar Athletic's pitch would just have passed an inspection if we were playing at home today but it would have meant a lot of work for our groundsman. Marske United's pitch doesn't drain as well as our pitch so it was no surprise to me, after the rain yesterday morning, falling onto an already saturated pitch that the game would be off.
