I can see his point.. If say morpeth win the new step 4 lge and gain promotion they will then have to travel to teams in evo prem who won't just be based in yorkshire. So problem starts all over again

Isn’t the actual point of the pyramid, that you travel further the higher you progress! So doubling your traveling has got to be expected!

And isn't that the reason teams such as morpeth don't want to leave the northern lge because of travel , so after only having to travel to Yorkshire in the new lge will they want to travel down to say Stafford rangers if they get promoted. Or will they get the lge to write a letter for them then as well

Will Stafford end up being in the Midlands league? Hopefully the NPL Prem southern boundary will be the Mersey-Humber!

Apologies;

Northallerton 16832
Romanby (Where the ground is) 6177
Brompton 2055

All three are classed together locally, as they are all one (small) conurbation , total 25064, but I know what you mean :D

I didn't realise they were talking of moving the boundaries of evo prem to accommodate the proposed new step 4 lge .. My apologies

The West Midlands teams will go to the new Midland Premier at step 3.

If we have 8 step 4 leagues promoting into 4 step 3 leagues. Then the NPL Prem will eventually move northwards. Obviously this’ll take a few seasons to start to benefit the northeastern clubs. It won’t be an immediate fix, but it’ll start to address some of the inherent issues in the pyramid!

Just a thought............

Not if you keep relegating as well

Just a Thought, But not Impossible!

This post is a bit tongue & cheek, but also a touch of reality too, we are talking about travel distances for our North East clubs, Possibly the league to aim for, for all our local clubs, in about 3 to 4 years for now, possibly even less could be the “National League North”, the way things are going we already have Darlington, Blyth & Spennymoor in that league, there has to be concerns about Hartlepool & Gateshead involvement in the National league for obvious reasons without going into detail, The way South Shields are heading on-off the pitch, We could in all honesty see Blyth, Darlington, Hartlepool, Spennymoor, Gateshead, South Shields, Scarborough, Harrogate & York City all doing battle, Now you pretty much can’t get any more local than that????.

Looks like the leagues request has been turned down, not a surprise

From the league's twitter feed:
Quote:
The Football Association has informed the League that it's application to re-adjust its position in the National League System has been rejected. The management committee will be meeting next week to consider how to proceed

What if the FA came back and proposed 1-2-4-8, so taking on board the NL proposal but placing that division under the auspices of the NPL and shifting the other clubs further south as required?

It's way too late to implement for next season but if enough are willing, 2019-20 could be a go-er.
