Apologies this isn’t Northern League related but I’m posting cos it’s local football and a really good cause.

Kings Arms FC of Sunderland Sunday League tragically lost their Captain Jay McLaren after a team night out on Friday 22nd Dec.
Jay was one of the most passionate, selfless and kind-hearted young man that many of us have ever known. Jay’s vibrant character in life was infectious, he touched so many and we are completely heartbroken.
He was only 28 years old. He leaves behind his fiancée , his mum, siblings, family and a multitude of friends, but most heartbreaking is that he leaves behind his 2 year old daughter. We want to ease the financial burden that comes with losing someone so suddenly. We have to say goodbye and are hoping to raise funds to go towards the cost of his funeral. This memorial fund will hopefully help to take care of this and perhaps help establish a small nest egg for his daughters future.
Any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated. Although broken, we thank you with all of our hearts. We miss you Jay, from all your team mates at Kings Arms FC. RIP Mac.
