Hoping health and happiness comes to all Zoners new and old. Those that are banned and don't get on here anymore. Also to the new usernames !! And finally to those who have lost interest.Either way always remember football's just a game.Take care and keep drinking the bovril.

A couple of mates have said the zone is near enough dead.Even allowing for no local footy today it looks like they're spot on.Big shame really. It was very popular a couple of years back.

South Shields getting beat at home. Groundsmans fault was it. Don't tell me the referee was over weight.

Probably inevitable with the rise of social media. Shame really.

All the best for 2018 to everybody. The zone might be the Norwegian blue of platforms but there are exciting times ahead for non league footy so many reasons to be cheerful! :D

The only solution is change the name to north east nonleague forum and have all the posters from step1 to step 7 in the same room

You’ve actually got a very good point Gijane, Why Not make this forum more North East Non League oriented, Lets not forget we will lose another two clubs at the end of this season (Morpeth & Marske), In it’s day this forum was informative and good banter, Even when people had different opinions, And to the point when people totally disagreed with one and other, However not sure why?, But this forum has kind of lost its Zest, Why not invite the Heeds, Spennymoor, Blyth’s & South Shields and before I forget The Darlo’s And Hartlepool, Could see some very interesting banter/conversations??, Just a thought.

Nothing wrong with the format as it stands. Its still a "go-to" place for information. Oddly I note that those suggesting its dead have only been registered 5 mins. Which begs the question how they knew what it was like before.

The admin on this site do a fantastic job and long may it continue.

Before I lock this thread ( boo, hiss from the back row) I’ll give you a bit of history.

Nonleaguezone was set up as a vehicle to those clubs who didn’t have a forum. At the time there were no league forums, and eventually they were set up to allow fans of clubs without a forum to discuss League matters

With the progress of other social media some clubs’ forums have moved away from NLZ , while others have joined.

The need for a pure Northern League forum remains, and as long as it is used to discuss Northern League matters will remain.

If you want to discuss football matters that cross league boundaries, then there is a general football forum, use that.

But to use this forum to troll and to stir up rivalry is the wrong way to go about things. People say that the forum is dying - if it does naturally then so be it, but equally people don’t come here because of the off topic trolling that goes on.

The Admins, as owners of the site, have a legal requirement to keep things civil , and we will do so.

If you don’t like the rules of NLZ then there other places to go.
