I’ve just been told It was WAC who didn’t want to play on the pitch...

We turned up with a full squad to play the game. However we found the pitch in a worse state than the time we were here 3 weeks ago. Your managemnt team agreed with ours and both sets of players agreed it was unplayable. However the only persons opinion which mattered ( and who is liable) was the referee who agreed with both management and players that it was unsafe. Infact the only person who said it was playable was the person who put the tractor on it and created this mess FOR THE 2ND TIME

Just to add I thought the officials dealt with the situation very well and in a professional manner and Crooks manager chris lax and his management team were top notch

How could Crooks be in a worse condition when there hasn’t been a game played on it since the original postponement. What do you suggest for the rearranged game relay the pitch or hire Wembley.

Just dont use an agricultural tractor with deep treads on the pitch and that would be a start

If you want to compare..........if you put Bigfoot or a JCB on Wembley do you think it would be playable?? Nope.....so Mr Chairman you get the same result as we have on our last 2 visits.

You need to divot it , basically get a few people with forks to follow the tractor tyres and ease the turf up , then maybe put a roller onto it ( even though I’m not a fan of rollers and we don’t use one on ours ) it will be back breaking work but it will be the best solution bar filling the tracks with sand and hoping the grass breaks through .

PS if you do go down the roller route make sure you use a tractor with turf tyres
