Credit to Shildon,it looks the business and a thousand times better than these flat pack efforts that seem to appear everywhere these days.

New stand looks good.

What happened to the Lee Hainsworth stand that was already there? It hadn't been up that long as it was erected when Bishop Auckland were ground sharing at Dean Street.

It’s being re-erected ( or part of it ) on the main stand side at the Dean Street end

What's different about the Shildon stand, looks impressive enough but no different from others that have gone up.

Also are Shildon keeping the big main stand? Looks like the are preparing to move upwards.

The main difference is its higher up for a better view , and was built to specifications , whereas most stands come in 100 seat modules

Doesn't look much different from others really when looking at the pictures however it still looks very good. Good to see clubs not just spending on players but spending on better infrastructure as well, I hope they get promotion this season or maybe next, the more NE clubs moving up the pyramid ladder the better from an interest point of view.

Hi Les , just been looking at Blackwell photos and I would say it has a much better view than the new seats there as well .

I think I read, maybe on here, that the old main stand will stay, but won't be open. Too costly to maintain to a standard that health & safety would allow, but also too costly to pull down. So it can stay as a background to groundhopper photos.

We can’t pull it down as the bar and changing rooms are below it. We’r just mothballing the seating area
