Here's my report from tonight's Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup Second Round clash between Chester-le-Street Town and Easington Colliery where goals from Andrew Clarkson (x2) and Daniel McGuire gave Chester-le-Street a 3-1 win.

Connor a good report on what was in the end a good result for CLS and really we should have scored more than we did. However on the subject of the twelfth minute incident it was quite plain to us at the dugout area that Jack Wilson got a foot to the ball before clattering your lad hence the ball going towards the corner flag rather than close to the goal where your lad was running, I believe this was the thinking of the referee and it certainly was the thinking of a few people I talked to at half time who were standing on the far side. However I have seen them given by officials. Some you win etc. Good luck for the rest of the season, some promising youngsters at both clubs on display last night
