Wilf Constantine resigned as Crook Town manager after todays home defeat to Thornaby.

An official club statement will follow.

There’s quite a few of us would love to see Peter Dixon back as manager, we were the club who brought Peter and Foss to the NL, they did a great job at Crook Town. I think they could of took us even further after all they took West to Wembley a couple of times, I suppose that could of been us.
It would be brilliant if the club got in touch with them, the worst thing that can happen they could say no thanks. 2 great lads who would bring their players in and get us out of this massive slide we on, it’s awful to see especially after the good start to the season...

Good call as their two good lads, but he'd do well to bring 'his players' in on your current budget.

Interesting to see who the committee go for though.

I can officially confirm Chris Lax is the new manager of Crook Town AFC.

I would also like to thank Wilf & Neil for their efforts this season, unfortunately things didn't work out as hoped & I wish you all the success in your future endeavours.

Good luck to Chris at Crook Town. Hopefully we'll meet up again and preferably in the Northern League. I expect Scott Ryan who is already on Crook Town's books, will return now Chris is there. I'm a bit concerned about Richmond Town's future as Chris did a lot there, so he will leave a massive hole to fill.

Chris has proved a great Manager for Richmond over the last few years. Last season he assembled a squad that would have competed in the Northern League, however Richmond have no chance of progression, until they move grounds, which I believe is years off. He also did loads behind the scenes , so he will take some replacing.

Be a massive miss to Richmond as I can see a few players going there with him. Will be interesting to see what happens to Richmond now.

Its that time of year when teams seasons start to take shape or unravel in many cases, out the FA Cup and Vase, looking like a bottom half of league finish etc etc, budgets get a review and Managers and/or committees realise the bull spouted in pre-season isn't doable. Still think there could be a couple more to go yet.
