Another hard won victory in miserable conditions for Dunston, Ryhope battled well and nearly got back at 3-2 but a great controlled ball on the chest and turn to shoot past the keeper by Heslop wrapped it up, especially as Ryhope substitute was sent off for a second caution after only a short time on the pitch. Another match unbeaten in the league and only 3 points behind Consett with 3 games in hand

long may it continue.

Issues at the end of the game as the floodlights went out making it dangerous for spectators leaving the ground in the pitch dark.

Not taking anything away from the Dunston win. I have said all season they are the team to watch.

yesterday's game was impacted mostly by 1 man. and he wore black.

Goal 1
penalty given for handball. A close range shot that hit the Ryhope player arm, that was across his body. Not a handball.

Goal 3
Ruled offside by the assistant. Referee overruled him as "the player standing next to the player who scored was in an offside position but not interfering with play". Make of that what you will.

Goal 4
Handball when the Dunston player took the ball down he practically carried it. Not seen by 1.

Red Card
Ryhope player clearly fouled and went down under the challenge. No question it was a foul.
Referee blew for simulation 2nd booking.

totally disgusting performance by the official. Should not happen at this level. 1 man killed the game and what could have been 1 or even 3 points for Ryhope.

as I say not being a sore looser. But when Dunston Officials, players and the referee assessor who was there agreed it cannot be far from what happened.

I’ve watched the video and it is as clear as mud. Unless you are watching another video with close ups I can’t see how you can say one way or another that it was a foul. The referee was near enough to see but as has been said, he had a stinker didn’t he. Or did he!

When Dunston players and committee members say it should have been a Pen and that the ref had a stinker, it is hard to argue otherwise....

You clearly don’t know me then. I can have an argument in an empty room.
Committee men and players say all sorts after a game and sometimes, I have done it myself, to appease the opposition. At the end of the day you lost we won, we got a penalty, you didn’t. Move on

I'm sure you would have nothing to say if it were reversed? I believe that is the point of a forum

To be honest, down the years we have had many decisions go against us and, believe me, I am not averse to venting my spleen in letting opposing players or officials know that I am not happy. That said I can’t ever remember doing so on this forum as I believe it is a waste of time and can change nothing. When the game is over that is the end of it other than heated debate in whichever clubhouse.

I was not expecting anything to change from it.
I take it you were at the game?

I wasn’t at the game as I stated in the other thread. I am currently on a scouting mission in Poland and Hungary for new players. It isn’t going well.
