Not seen anything confirmed, but I'm guessing that Newcastle University must have lost their appeal for the futures to have been released.

We haven't had confirmation from FA but have received fixtures today

The Northern Alliance included the University in their cup draws made last week.

The Northern League website still names South Newsham as Blyth AFC's home ground yet all their home league matches have been scheduled to be played at Woodhorn Lane.

Barry Elliott is back in court on the 31st July @ 10:00am. There’s rumours that he’s run out of money anyway. Plus there’s a 2nd court case in the offing, for the money he took for developing the ground & never spent! The council has reaffirmed its position with him & confirmed that he will never be allowed back at South Newsham. I’m wondering if this gets any worse, whether we’ll see Blyth go belly-up halfway through the season?
As for why the EBAC NL aren’t doing anything about it? Maybe they’re not listening......

Cruel, but at least the Northern Alliance League showed where they stood on the matter before the decision of the FALC. A neutral way would have been to do the draws as either Newcastle University or Birtley Town. The best outcome is everyone now knows if you're going to rent a ground, make sure it's on your application for promotion submitted by 31st December.

so if the pitch is not up to standard and you have to move to a ground who have a pitch that is. are you not groundsharing to gain promotion.

Does anyone actually believe they’re going back to South Newsham?
When they became a separate club, they didn’t & never have had a tenure at South Newsham!
By releasing missives on social media, stating that they aren’t able to play right now at South Newsham because the surface isn’t right & then saying it’s temporary. Doesn’t mean they are ever going to play there in the future! Can someone from that club, prove undeniably that they’re going back to South Newsham & all the allegations are unfounded?

Just to clarify the issues with South Newsham’s pitch. Barry Elliott did some ground improvements that have destroyed the drainage. The drainage lines have all been cut & the hard standing put down is actually causing the rainwater to flood the pitch.

Blyth Town have been told that to put it right will cost £100k

Surely they had permission to do those works and it was all agreed? Or did Barry turn up with a jcb one day and start digging??

It makes no difference if you have a 100 year lease on a ground you can’t do anything that alters the facility with out permission from the site owners . I know that much from experience if you do you are liable to put it back as was at your expense

I’ve been told that the council didn’t put the drainage in properly. Barry Elliott was told this & still went ahead and cut them. Blyth Town are trying to get the issue sorted, but have been told that it’s Barry Elliott’s responsibility to put it right.
I’ve received a pm from someone that says they’ve spoken to a senior member of the Northumberland FA & they are fully aware that Blyth AFC aren’t ever going back to South Newsham. They said the problem lies with the weak NL management committee!
