It's been clarified that the 2nd placed clubs in the two Step 5 divisions currently due to miss out, then invitations to the 3rd placed clubs on a points per goal basis.

Promotion from step 6 to step 5 is changing next season. Only the 19 champions across step 6 will be promoted & the 9 best runners up on a ppg basis. There will be 2 relegations from each step 5 league’s!

Is that because the FA are struggling to fill the Step 6 divisions and therefore are easing the pressure by promoting fewer?

They’re reducing all the league sizes & taking control of the promotion process. I think promotion is being equalised from steps 1-6. So a promotion in the Hellenic, will be as well earned as a one in the EBAC NL.

Will be great if they take control at step 2 and have 4 down instead of only promoting 6 from 4 divisions at step 3. Farce.

This is outrageous, there could be virtually nothing to play for if one club runs away with it, if anything there should be one up and four in a play off, how come League teams get to play for 6th and a chance to go up , the FA really need to hang their heads in shame.
